Mock Interview -Prepare. Practice .Peform

The IFMA Student Chapter at Arizona State University will host a Mock Interview: Prepare. Practice. Perform. event designed to help students develop practical interview skills and gain insight into industry expectations. The event will feature nine industry professionals from the facilities management and construction sectors who will conduct structured mock interviews and provide direct feedback to participating students.

Session 1: Industry Reality & Career Readiness
The event will begin with a short session where industry professionals share insights about how the construction and facilities industry operates, the transition from academic learning to professional practice, and the key skills and mindsets employers look for in early-career professionals. This session helps students enter the interviews with clearer expectations and a professional mindset.

Session 2: Structured Mock Interviews
Students will participate in structured mock interviews conducted by industry professionals. Each interviewer will work with a small group of students under timed conditions, asking questions that reflect real interview scenarios such as introductions, behavioral questions, technical discussions, and situational problems. Interviewers will provide both verbal and written feedback to help students improve their responses, communication, and overall interview performance.

This event is designed to simulate a realistic interview environment while creating a supportive learning space where students can practice, receive feedback, and strengthen their readiness for internships and full-time roles.
