Dashain is one of the biggest and most celebrated festivals in Nepal, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil and the importance of family, blessings, and togetherness. A key tradition of Dashain is the exchange of tika (vermilion and yogurt paste applied on the forehead) and jamara (sacred barley grass), which are offered by elders as a blessing for prosperity and well-being.

At our “Tika and Jamara” celebration, we invite you to experience this beautiful tradition on campus. The event will include a tika and jamara ceremony, followed by a festive lunch, music, and fun activities that bring our community together. Come celebrate, learn, and share the joy of Dashain with us!
