Mission
Women In Animation at ASU’s mission is to provide opportunities and resources to
students that intend to pursue a career in animation and advocate for equal gender
hiring practices within the animation industry. We envision a world where women and
non-binary individuals share equally in the creation, production and rewards of
animation. Thus, Women In Animation at ASU will prepare resources for students to understand gender inequality and nurture a community of peers in solidarity with the movement for gender
equity within the animation industry. Women In Animation at ASU will prepare students to network effectively and to take on leadership roles where they present themselves in order to directly
address the disparity. With Women In Animation at ASU students will begin to integrate in their career path before graduation and be equipped with skills, tools, and partnerships that will last
through the life of their career.

Membership Benefits
The benefits of being a member of Women In Animation at ASU are the opportunities and resources
that come with the multiple events per semester that WIA hosts, such as guest speakers from the
animation industry, free swag and stickers representing our club, and the community that comes with
being among likeminded students and professors.
