About Us

The mission of the Construction Management Association of America at Arizona State University is to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry experience for students pursuing careers in construction management and related fields. We strive to provide a platform where students can gain valuable knowledge, build relationships, and prepare for leadership roles in the construction industry. Our club is dedicated to supporting student growth by offering learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Through guest lectures, company presentations, job site tours, and mentorship from industry professionals, CMAA at ASU works to give students a deeper understanding of the construction management profession. We believe that exposure to real projects and professional insight is essential for preparing students to become successful, ethical, and innovative leaders in construction. CMAA at ASU also promotes collaboration and community involvement. We aim to create an environment where students can learn from each other, share experiences, and develop as a team. By connecting students with faculty and industry contacts, we help build a network that supports personal growth, career development, and lifelong learning. Our mission is to empower future construction leaders with the tools, knowledge, and connections they need to succeed.

Members Benefits

Joining the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) at Arizona State University provides students with a unique opportunity to enhance their academic experience while preparing for a successful career in the construction and contractor industry. As a CMAA member, students gain exclusive access to industry presentations, where professionals from top construction firms share insights about their companies, projects, and the broader construction management field. These presentations help students stay current with industry trends, learn directly from experienced professionals, and better understand the pathways available within the construction sector. Members also participate in site tours of active construction projects, offering a firsthand look at how job sites operate. These tours provide valuable real-world context that complements classroom learning, allowing students to visualize and engage with the construction process up close. Additionally, industry professionals often discuss internship and career opportunities during club events, guiding students on how to get involved early in their careers. This exposure helps members build professional experience and better prepare for life after graduation. Beyond professional development, CMAA at ASU fosters meaningful connections between students, faculty, and industry leaders. The club creates a supportive community where students can collaborate, network, and build lasting relationships that extend into their professional careers. Whether it’s through attending events, meeting peers with similar interests, or connecting with mentors, members of CMAA have the chance to grow both personally and professionally in a welcoming and engaging environment.
