The Office of Clinical Partnerships (OCP), housed within the Office of the University Provost at Arizona State University, is dedicated to fostering strategic relationships between ASU and clinical, community, and healthcare partners. OCP works to expand and support initiatives that connect students and faculty with real-world health environments, strengthening the university’s mission to provide high-impact, interdisciplinary, and career-relevant educational experiences. By aligning academic programs with evolving workforce and community needs, OCP plays a vital role in advancing health education, research, and service across the university and beyond. One of the key initiatives developed by the Office of Clinical Partnerships is the Pre-Health Internship Program (PHIP). Designed to support undergraduate students pursuing careers in healthcare and related fields, PHIP provides access to high-quality, vetted internship opportunities in clinical and professional settings. The program is open to students across all ASU campuses and academic programs and offers a competitive placement process supported by dedicated PHIP Placement Specialists. PHIP reflects OCP’s commitment to experiential learning, career readiness, and academic excellence by helping students build practical skills, explore professional pathways, and prepare for post-graduate education and health-related careers. The mission of the Pre-Health Internship Program (PHIP) at Arizona State University is to provide students across all campuses and disciplines with meaningful, hands-on internship experiences that prepare them for successful entry into post-graduate education and health-related careers.
