Generous Devils

Generous Devils is a materials access and sustainability program serving Design School students. We collect, share, lend, and redistribute creative supplies so cost doesn’t block creativity.Access first. Creativity follows.

Access first. Creativity follows.
We’re Hue-mans before designers. Devils always.

The Generous Devil's Mission

The mission of the Generous Devils is to reduce material and financial barriers for students in The Design School by redistributing donated supplies in thoughtful, sustainable, and inclusive ways. Through creative reuse, community partnerships, and student-led initiatives, we aim to foster a culture of generosity, equity, and mentorship—ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed, create, and thrive.

Why Join Generous Devils?

Generous Devils is the Design School’s “we’ve got you” club. We share supplies, save materials
from the trash, and help make sure no one has to choose between school and, you know… life.

Joining means getting access to shared materials,
cool workshops, and hands-on experiences—plus chances to lead,
learn, and meet other Hue-Men who care about design and people.
You’ll help restock shelves, host events, support classmates, and turn extra into essential.

Basically, if you like good design, good vibes, and doing devilishly good deeds (with a little sarcasm), this is your crew.
One donation at a time.

An Intro to Generous Devils

This introductory video features Founder and Professor Amy Robinson (ARob) explaining the purpose and impact of Generous Devils, the Design School’s materials program at Arizona State University. She shares why the program was created, how it increases access to design supplies, and the role it plays in reducing waste while supporting equity and inclusion in design education. Generous Devils is rooted in community, sustainability, and student success, serving all disciplines within the ASU Design School.
