About Us

Kendo at ASU’s mission is to train students in Kendo as a competitive martial art and sport. Through regular practice, members develop Kendo-specific skills such as footwork, striking, timing, endurance, discipline, and mental focus. The club prepares members to improve as athletes, practice with intensity and respect, and represent ASU in collegiate Kendo competition.
