About Us

The purpose of this organization is to spread awareness and recognition of rare diseases. Interests in science, medicine, biotechnology, public health, law and policy, and other applicable fields are cultivated as the organization is an active chapter of the National Organization for Rare Disorders’ Students for Rare program and abides by NORD's guidelines for student chapters.

Members may serve on special committees as volunteers, may hold positions as committee chairs, may serve as an intern, and are eligible for nomination to an office of the executive board. Members are exclusively permitted to vote in elections. Members of this student organization are part of a community space where they may establish professional relationships and discover career opportunities within the rare disease space.
